Members of the ‘Fees Must Fall’ movement at the University of Pretoria are refusing any meeting unless it’s in the form of a general assembly.
The university was expected to hold discussions with students and faculty staff about free education. This has been cancelled after protesters threatened to disrupt any meeting.

According to a report by EWN at 15:08, police opened fire with rubber bullets as Wits University students tried to block off traffic to Jorissen and Bertha Street.
