If you are a 4×4 fanatic, the Berakah 4×4 Eco-Trail is located on the Berakah Farm in Parys, is 15km long and takes around six hours to complete. Navigate through savannah, bushveld, mountainous areas and river beds to reach the Vredefort Dome, a South African World Heritage.
Beware as the trail is not guided and has a difficulty grading of between 2-4. Make sure you are equipped before heading out.
3. Explore some of Gauteng’s most beautiful hiking trails
Yes, Johannesburg has beautiful hiking trails too! Gauteng is home to many beautiful hiking trails such as the Klipriviersberg Nature Reserve, Bergheim, Uitkyk Trail, Suikerbosrand Nature Reserve and Hennops Trails.

4. Discover the ancient Wonder Cave, a hidden gem close to Joburg

5. Admire the Magaliesberg from a hot air balloon
