Groupon Relaunches As ‘Hyperli’

The new online marketplace, Hyperli launched a short while ago is the brainchild of ex-Groupon employees.

Hyperli follows a nearly identical format to the former online giant, Groupon. According to a source, it has a “same-same but different feel as Groupon”.

Both retailers and consumers alike were left scratching their heads when Groupon announced it would be downsizing from 27 to 15 countries for a more “streamlined country footprint“.

As stated in their LinkedIn profile, they are “a curated online marketplace, which connects local businesses to local customers. Customers use Hyperli to discover the best restaurants, spas, and things to do in your immediate area”.

At first glance, it looks to offer identical services to that of Groupon. It is also similar to other online marketplaces, such as Daddy’s Deals and OneDayOnly. The Site includes Hot Air Balloon flights, international getaways, spa treatments, sushi platters, retail products, such as cookware, and even half price Ster Kinekor movie tickets.

Categories are broken up into ‘Local’, ‘Goods’ and ‘Getaways’.

The WHOIS database notes that the website went live on the 13th of October this year.
